Lewis Calvin DeWitt (March 12, 1938 - August 15, 1990)


Lew DeWitt was the original tenor singer for the Statler Brothers. Diagnosed at a young age with Crohns Disease, he left the Statler's in late 1982 due to that illness. He eventually recovered enough to begin a solo career but once again fell ill because of the Crohns Disease. He passed away due to complications from the diease on August 15, 1990.
